As you pull up to work you see some one parked in your spot
so you leave your car in a no parking zone hoping you will not get caught
on your way in you begin to brace yourself for the very worst
you have been late far to many times wishing this was the first
your boss approaches you while wearing a frown
you are quick to apologize for letting him down
you are waiting for him to say son you are fired
but instead he says kid I am getting tired
of all of your no shows and coming in late

After a long walk home you can finally go to sleep
you make sure to set your alarm correctly and turn up the beep
you try to fall asleep quickly but you just toss and turn
troubled by the day and thinking about tomorrow has you concerned

You know you have a long walk to work being without your car

you explain your boss is making you work two extra shifts a week

not wanting to be yelled at you take a call waiting
it's your best friend's roommate in a panic stating
that his roommate was on a bike and hit by a car and may not survive
you have a flashback and realize that it was you who hit this guy
